– FOR ME –
+ COMFY NURSING GOWNS – These are just pajama nightgowns but they will work perfectly for nursing + they’re super comfortable. I got my true size in grey & black.
+ NON SLIP SOCKS – A lot of people suggest slippers but I prefer comfy socks. These ones have non- slip on the bottom.
+ SHOWER SHOES – Not sure if I will wear these but they’re cheap on amazon!
+ NURSING TANKS & BRAS – For after baby just to wear in the hospital but also after!
+ ROBE FOR AFTER DELIVERY – Thought this would be cute if we take any hospital pictures. Comes in a lot of colors.
+ MAMA SWEATSHIRT FOR COMING HOME – I love this!!! Wearing this with some loose joggers or leggings & uggs for coming home.
+ NIPPLE BALM, LIPGLOSS, DRY MOUTH MINTS – Everyone says the hospital is so dry so these are essentials.
+ MISTING FAN – Might be a little extra but who wants to be hot?!?!
+ 10 FT PHONE CHARGERS – Another necessity by a lot of people. Easily charge your phone if there aren’t outlets super close by. Plus good to have at home as well, you can never have too many chargers.
+ OVERSIZED UNDERWEAR – I got these from amazon in a larger size than normal. They did not come in the colors that I ordered but they’re $10 for a pack of 3 and you probably won’t want them much afterwards anyway so I’m fine with it!
+ SNACKS – Especially right now because your S/O won’t be able to leave the hospital at all for any food. Just packing light snacks like granola bars, etc.
+ MY OWN PILLOW + TOWEL.
– FOR BABY –
+ DIAPER BAG – I have this filled with a few diapers and some wipes but the hospital will provide those so they’re not necessary.
+ CAR SEAT – Obviously a carseat is a must! We went with the Nuna PIPA Lite.
+ A FEW OUTFITS – Packing 4 outfits. 2 sleepers + 1 gown + 1 cute coming home set. I’m not sure if this is too many or not enough but it seems good to me.
+ PACIFIERS – Somewhere I read that hospitals stop providing pacifiers so to bring your own just in case. I got a bunch or Ryan & Rose ones as well as some BIBS ones.
+ SOCKS – Just in case her lil feet get cold!
+ A FEW HATS – Bringing some hats but also know that the hospital provides newborn hats 🙂
+ A FEW SWADDLES / BLANKET – Again, pretty sure the hospital will have these for you but it’s nice to pack. few cute / comfy ones.
+ NAME CARD – No, her name is not Capri 😉 love these little name signs for pictures when first born. I got mine from etsy but the exact shop is closed until 2021 due to the owner being on maternity leave but this one is similar!
+ SLEEP SACK – Just incase!
This is really all I’m bringing. From what I understand, the hospital provides all of the postpartum care items you will need & it’s not necessary to bring any. Mainly the things to bring for yourself and baby are to make yourself more comfortable. I did get a bunch of postpartum care items for when I get home!
